Field #1 CITY OF NOTTINGHAM

Nottingham is the crown jewel of Sherwood Forest. This field spans 5 acres of land and has over 40 buildings on it completely built out of railroad ties. The center piece of this field is the castle constructed out of over 3000 ties. This castle is a paintballers dream. It measures 64’ x 78’ and has twelve two story towers and one three story tower. There are six stairways up to the second level and one up to the third.

Other fields boast of having castles but none compare to Nottingham castle. Players have walked into the castle during night games and have said it feels like a real castle complete with torches to light the field.

There are plans to expand the city around the castle with another forty buildings in the future.

Field #2 DRECKMOORE

Dreckmoore (formerly Bunkerhill) encompasses 4 ˝ acres of land and is a favorite of players. This field is a “U” shaped valley with a peninsula jutting out in the center. On this peninsula sits Dreckmoore keep, measuring 56’ x 28’ and will soon be a two structure. During our 24 hour scenario games this is one of the command houses.

Field #3 DREAD VALLEY

Dread Valley is one of Sherwood’s old tourney fields and is about 3 ˝ acres in size. This field is all natural terrain and large log bunkers with a valley in the center.

Field #4 BLACK TOWER

The Black Tower field sits in the center of Sherwood Forest and used to be the tournament staging in the 90’s. Since then we have built a two story octagon tower in the middle and laid out large log bunkers around it turning it into a large speed ball field with the tower in the center.

Field #5, #6, and #7

These three fields are Sherwood Forests old tourney fields. During the 90’s these were some of the top woods tournament fields in the nation. Each of these fields is about 2 acres in size with huge log bunkers strewn through out the fields and is very balanced from either end.

Field #8 BLACK OAK KEEP

This field sits on the southeast side of Sherwood Forest and takes up about 3 ˝ acres. The man structure on this field is Black Oak Keep which is a two story structure that is used as the second command base during our scenarios.
There are plans to build a village around this base in the near future.

Field #9 BATTLEDALE

Battledale sits in the northeast corner of Sherwood Forest and plays on the side of 60 foot hill. With this being on the side of the hill there is a lot of up and down battles. As of now there are three structures on this field with plans for two villages at the top of the hill and one at the bottom.

Field #10 SPEED BALL (log built)

This is one of the most unique and fun speedball fields you can play on. It sits right next to the staging area and is completely netted. The over 60 bunkers on this field are all large logs and has been around since 1993. This field is set to be rebuilt within the year out of railroad ties.
